It's the freaking weekend! SALUTE!
We're starting a new tradition over here and want to let you in on it the fun.
Are you having people over this weekend?
Don't know what to serve?
Don't have a playlist to vibe out to?
We've got you covered.
Introducing "happy hour" a series that pairs incredible cocktails with a matching playlist - AND we're doing all the research so you sound like you know what you're talking about when you serve "grown up" cocktails to your friends. Up first, a grapefruit bitters, aperol, blackberry negroni - or as we've named it; Blame it on the Aperol.
Like most Italians, I’ve yet to meet a Negroni I don't like.
Legend has it that this Italian classic was created in Florence in the early 1900's. Equal parts Campari, gin, and sweet vermouth - it's hard to screw up a classic Negroni, which may be why it's become such a trendy staple. All Negronis taste good, seriously. It's a little bit of an acquired taste that's boozy and bitter but fantastic. But you gin and tonic drinkers out there - listen up, this may be your new go-to.
We put a funky summer spin on a Negroni. Here's how to make it.
1oz carpano antica
3 dashes grapefruit bitters
2 muddled blackberries
Served stirred with king cube with lemon peel and enjoy.
